Theme Four — Reflections

Together we made a fully immersive reflective space! Similar to the first three themes we tackled several projects to make this unique space. The goal was to make a reflective and celebratory space for my last installation and end of the year.

 

Theme Four Maker Studio

As a maker studio, the community was invited to help me make the elements for the exploratory installation. There were four featured activities along with several smaller activities available. I break up each week of the maker studio into different themed weeks. For this theme there was:

  1. Kind Messages Week

  2. Mosaic week

  3. Cloak week

  4. Disco week

Here’s what we made

Theme Four exploratory installation

As an installation, the community was invited to come to see the installation in person. The installation completely transformed this ~350 square foot space into the reflections installation. This installation is a multi-sensory experience creating a fully immersive experience.

Here’s how:

  • Sight: sparkles everywhere

  • Sound: Original music created by Joseph Ferrera

  • Touch: Tactile elements from floor to ceiling

  • Taste: Poprocks for a taste celebration

  • Smell: Tangerine Essential Oils
